Coffee Chronicles is a narrative-driven experience centred around Bean, a character who develops an unhealthy dependence on coffee after associating caffeine with productivity and success. As that dependency begins to affect her behaviour, the story explores anxiety, moderation, self-reflection, and the importance of support systems.
approach
The experience was designed around translating an everyday habit into a relatable narrative about dependency. Coffee acts as both a familiar object and a storytelling device, allowing the experience to gradually shift from routine to obsession. Character interactions, environmental context, and narrative progression were used to communicate Bean's changing relationship with caffeine while keeping friendship and personal growth at the heart of the story.
